To complete and print out the Encompass Exhibit 3 VVOE form, navigate to Forms – Verbal Verification of Employment.
Press “Copy Borrower” or “Copy CoBorrower” to import the borrower’s name, current employer name, and contact phone number.
Verify the phone number that imported matches the phone number found in the independently sourced document such as the 411 or reverse search document found in the eFolder.
Note: The source used to obtain the employer’s phone number CANNOT come from the borrower.
When calling to verify employment, the following information must be requested:
Verify the borrower is still currently employed
Verify the borrower is still active and not “on leave” (such as maternity leave)
Verify the borrower’s start date
Ask what the likelihood is that the borrower will continue to be employed (Note: the employer can refuse to answer this question)
The Name and Title of the person you spoke with.
If the borrower is a wage earner, fill all missing information in the Salaried Applicant section.
If the borrower is self-employed, fill all the missing information in the Self-Employed Applicant section.
Note: Review the documentation in the eFolder as there may be a document that verifies the information and is currently valid.
To complete the verification, fill out the title and date information on the Verifier Information section.
Select Print or press Ctrl + P and on the window that pops up.
Select the Custom Forms tab.
Select the Verbal Verification of Employment form.
Select Add >.
Select Print to File.
Save the document to your computer.
Open the printed VVOE form and use the Place Signature option in PDF from the Fill & Sign tab to add a signature to the Verifier Information section.
The VVOE is now ready to be uploaded to the “VOE – Verbal” bucket in the Encompass eFolder.
